    Mark Greiner 专家在加拿大汉密尔顿麦克阿斯特大学取得硕士学位,并于2012年在加拿大多伦多大学取得博士学位。现就职于德国马克斯·普朗克能源转化研究所,并担任表面结构分析部门组长。Mark Greiner的主要研究方向为采用原位XPS对多相催化剂在反应过程中表面化学结构变化进行表征。Mark Greiner迄今在science, Nature Material, Nature Chemistry, Nature Photonics, Nature Phonotics, JACS等高影响因子杂志发表多篇专业学术论文。截止2019年11月26日,google搜索引用总次数位3196次,H因子为36.84.。

    In situ microscopic and spectroscopic methods for examining materials in chemically reactive environments
Many of functional materials require being exposed to chemically reactive conditions when in their functional environment. These reactive conditions result in chemical and structural changes to the materials, resulting in changes to the material's functional properties. Sometimes these changes are essential to the functioning of the material, while in other situations they can give rise to degradation and short operational lifetimes. To understand the processes that take place on materials in chemically reactive environments, several powerful measurement tools have been developed over the last decade to investigate such materials in-situ. These methods have been applied to examine heterogeneous catalytic reactions, battery charging and discharging cycles, and fuel cells in action, to name but a few, and the observations made with these methods have provided unprecedented insights into the role of dynamic chemical phenomena on functional material properties. The preset talk will demonstrate some of use cases of the most commonly used modern in-situ techniques, namely, in-situ XPS and in-situ electron microscopy, and demonstrate some of the unique insights these methods can provide.
